Stephan Schuster did the integration of transparent Ajax into the wingS-Core during his diploma thesis. The results are actually, what has been released as wingS 3.0 beta1 in january. Erweiterung des Web-Frameworks wingS durch die Integration von optionalem Ajax is the academic elaboration, written in german (it would be great, if someone would translate it to english!).
